In the fall of 2007 he completed his third combat deployment to Iraq flying helicopter gunships. He is a liberal independent, a practicing Catholic, a patron and aficionado of the arts, and an all-around opponent of rashness and poor manners. Mac is an avid surfer and is pursuing a graduate degree in history.
