Readers' Comments: Welcome to America; We’re Sorry

Article abstract: I went to a citizenship ceremony for a close friend and expected to have a fairly patriotic, heartwarming experience. Instead, the supervisor of the INS facility apologized repeatedly for America and suggested that America's warriors only served for college benefits.
1. Uff:Guhhh... what a jackass. His apology, I assume, stems from his own feelings of inadequacy as he represents America to citizens of other nations. I can understand and even excuse that. What's inexcusable is speaking for servicemen if you yourself have never served. Hell, I've been off of active duty for just four years, and I don't feel right speaking for the soldiers and Marines that serve in Iraq today because I feel too removed from their experience. What a crock.
