Article abstract: If the US wants to make a positive impact in the Middle East that will improve local security, Arab-American relations, curtail Jihadi claims and make America safer, it need look no farther than Palestine. At the core of the Muslim world's criticisms of the US is the perceived bias towards Israel and the sanctioning of Israeli apartheid. So if this key issue is so obvious, than why haven't we fixed it yet? Time to break out of the groupthink, and infuse some leadership into our leadership. |

| 1. | moish: | I agree entirely that the conflict in the world centers primarily around Palestine. Even if that is not entirely true, Palestine is a microcosm of the worldwide conflict.
However, I think the history of the land of Israel goes back much further than you are giving it credit for and I also would like to point out that Palestine, while having UN rep's is not a country and is not recognized as one.
The charters of Hamas, PLO etc. cannot be tolerated and should not be succumbed to.
