And we're back!

Paragraph 5

Break Out Your Note-Taking Gear

I’d like to take a brief operational pause and give you all an update on what is new at 2 Dinar.

We are halfway through our second month and going strong. Currently, we are averaging about 2,600 readers each week, and as best I can tell, we have about 300 subscribers. Our readers come from over 30 countries- thanks to all of you for reading the magazine.

One thing I find odd, is that per 10,000 monthly visits, we are averaging two letters from readers. We’re glad that you’re interested in what we have to say. But we’re also interested in what you have to say. Let us know at letters@2dinar.com. And if you’re a veteran and you’ve got something substantial to say, consider writing an article.

We have added a new guest writer this month who will be writing a great column called Involuntary Activation. This writer has been recalled from his civilian career to deploy with the Marines to Iraq. He will be reporting throughout his work-ups, deployment, and return to civilian life. This will be a unique opportunity to hear first-hand what it is like to change from citizen to warrior and back again so quickly.

If you're wondering what happened to our election coverage, it's coming. Foreign Affairs started printing essays from the candidates so I've postponed the election coverage till we can read all those essays and give some thoughtful analysis.

Finally, if you like what we’re doing here at 2 Dinar, please pass on the link (2dinar.com) to others who might be interested in what we have to say.

Thanks again for reading.
